A Run Through History

Set against the timeless beauty of Paphos, the TUI Cyprus Marathon invites runners to trace the footsteps of legend.

First held in 1999, this prestigious event celebrates endurance and heritage along one of the Mediterranean’s most storied coastlines.T

The route begins near Petra tou Romiou — the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty — and winds through ancient landscapes, coastal roads, and the historic harbour of Paphos, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Each stride carries a sense of history, where modern athletic spirit meets the legacy of a land that has inspired champions and poets for millennia.
